Bills of materials
Bills of materials are managed from product cards, not from a separate Manufacturing BOM screen. Use the product Recipe tab for components, alternates, and lot-age constraints, and the Production tab for operation costs and resources.
What a BOM contains

| Components | Required items and quantities per output. |
| Alternates | Approved substitutes with quantity factors. |
| Constraints | Lot strategy and minimum lot-age requirements. |
| Operation costs | Resources, crew, minutes, and rate inputs for cost rollup. |
