Bills of materials
Bills of materials are managed from product cards, not from a separate Manufacturing BOM screen. Use the product Recipe tab for components and lot-age constraints, and the Production tab for operation costs and resources.
What a BOM contains
Section titled “What a BOM contains”| Part | Purpose |

| Components | Required item variants and positive quantities per recipe basis. The Recipe tab shows each component’s current estimated cost contribution per finished output unit. A product cannot include itself as a component, and manufacturing orders can swap a component only to another active variant in the same item family. |
| Constraints | Lot strategy and minimum lot-age requirements in positive whole days. |
| Operation costs | Resources, crew, minutes, and rate inputs for cost rollup. The Recipe summary combines the current saved operation estimate with live draft ingredient costs. |
