Stocktakes

Stocktakes snapshot available quantities for a scoped count, collect actual counts, and post adjustments when completed. Counting is blind — expected quantities and variances are hidden from the draft and only shown in the completion preview.

A draft can be deleted — which never touches inventory — or cloned into a fresh draft. Completed stocktakes are locked and preserve their adjustment history.

Creation modes

Mode	Seeds the count with
Items in stock	Active eligible items with available stock above zero at the selected location.
All items	Every active material and product item.
Empty	No lines. Add items manually.

A reason is required when creating a stocktake. Location is optional and defaults to the default location. Stocktakes count available stock only — blocked and rejected lots are handled through lot disposition, not counts.
