Transfers
Transfers are recorded from an inventory dialog, not a separate navigation workspace. When multi-location inventory is enabled, transfer stock from one location to another and keep the lot cost with the stock.
Recording a transfer
Section titled “Recording a transfer”Choose the source location, destination location, item, and quantity. The source and destination must differ. Each transfer line records a movement out of the source and into the destination, drawn first-in-first-out from the source lots, preserving lot cost across locations.
| Event | Quantity effect | Location |
|---|---|---|
| transfer_out | decreases stock | source |
| transfer_in | increases stock | destination |
Cost & lots
Section titled “Cost & lots”The receiving leg keeps the same lot cost context as the outgoing leg. Operators choose item quantities, not specific lots, in the current transfer dialog. Use transfers for movement between locations; use adjustments or stocktakes when the physical quantity is wrong.
